Have you seen this video review of the Go Fit Contoured Kettlebell?

Kettlebells have proven themselves to be a fantastic way to achieve the fitness level that many can only dream of! Personally I have been swinging Kettlebells for a number of years. Initially I saw them as a way to work some resistance training into my workouts without having to buy and store a bunch of plate weights.

If you haven't been introduced to them, a great place to start is with the Kettlebell Advantage. It is a great resource to get you started with Kettlebells and it is really a steal at less than $10.

Kettlebell Workout Routines For Beginners - Works For Men And Women

The Burpee with the Power Squat is insane!

Change up your routine regularly so that you keep things interesting. Personally I have my standard workout (the fat burning program in the Kettlebell Advantage) that I do every workout, but then I also have another set of exercises that changes with every 3rd or 4th workout.

Most of the time its another Kettlebell routine, but I also do a lot of Bodyweight Workouts or Total Gym routines to change things up. I am not great about it, but I also try to work in 30 min of stationary bike time also.

Here is a here is a video review of a resource that I have found helpful in getting a better workout with my bodyweight routines.

Should You Use Wrist Guards When Swing Kettlebells?

Using a kettlebell is one of the best ways to improve core strength, but it can be hard on your wrists without the KettleGuard Kettlebell Wrist Guard.  This simple guard can make your kettlebell workouts much more comfortable and prevent injury.
The guard is made in the shape of tube that slides over your hand onto the wrist.  It provides padding around your entire wrist so that it protects it at every angle.  In addition, it comes with adjustable inserts so that you can have more or less protection as needed.

Easy Kettlebell Training for Weight Loss

Learn the Easy Secrets of Kettlebell Training for Weight Loss

Who knew that an odd-looking cast iron weight does not only help improve strength and endurance but can also help a person lose weight? The kettlebell looks like a very simple tool, but do not underestimate its power. It can be effective weight loss solution which can help you slim down quickly.

The tool is one-piece design is compact and portable and yet it provides greater power not only for burning body fat but for improving flexibility and balance. The reason why kettlebell training is effective for weight loss is because of its natural resistance. Obviously, any heavy object that interacts with your body will provide resistance.

When you lift heavy things, your body's natural response will be to overcome the challenge and burn calories. The same explanation applies when you are moving a kettlebell.

Using the right size and weight of kettlebell is critical in your weight loss program. You need something that will be challenging enough for you to burn a lot of calories quickly in a workout session.

Aside from their natural resistance, KBs are able to generate plyometric response. This is simply the body's response to imbalance. Many kettlebell exercises entail putting yourself off balance and these activities provide simultaneous targeted training for various muscle groups. And since you are getting a full body workout in a short amount of time, you do not have to spend hours in the treadmill or elliptical trainer. Doing KB exercises for 20 minutes will deliver the same fat fighting and body toning benefits of a long cardio workout.

Compared to traditional weight lifting moves where you lift and lower the dumbbells slowly while staying in one position, you swing the kettlebell through full body motions. This will effectively get your heart rate up quickly. You are able to target more muscles and triple the rate your body burns calories.

A 20-minute session can make you burn as much as 400 calories. That's twice as much calories you can burn on a treadmill! To maximize your training, it's important to try a few sizes and find the one that works best for you. It shouldn't be too heavy but it should be challenging enough for you to exert some effort.

Learn the basic moves and once you have mastered them, move on to more advanced techniques. Squats, lunges, jerks, deadlifts, Russian twists and windmills are just some of the kettlebell exercises you can put together to help you burn off the pounds regularly. And most importantly, make sure you develop a regimen that you can follow. Be consistent and if possible, train every other day if you want to see results.

Functional Family Fitness 1

This video from Safe Kidz Now! takes a look at an area that most of us don't give near enough consideration too. I know that I am not a morning workout person. I will never be one of those people who leap out of bed, slam down a shake and start swinging the kettlebell! Not gonna happen!

I do much better with late morning to mid afternoon. I am not a big night workout person either, it makes it hard to fall asleep, for me at least.

So play with the time you workout if you have adopted a formal workout time. You might find that you get in a better workout at a different time.

They have a really impressive and growing list of programs. The one that is probably of most interest to us is the Family Fitness Mistakes program. There are some clearly defined pitfalls and traps that are easy to fall into in the course of our daily activities. Once you know they are there, and what to do to avoid them in the future, you will see a significant change for the better in your fitness program, no matter what it is.
